On Sunday, February 25, 2018, the annual combined concert of the LHSA will be held at Lutheran High Westland, 33300 Cowan Road, Westland, MI. The program begins at 4:30pm with a prelude by our guests for the program: the Concordia St. Paul, MN Concert Band directed by Prof. Aaron Isakson. The combine LHSA choirs will sing a setting of "Fairest Lord Jesus" and a traditional Cameroon Processional "Praise the Lord." The bands will join to feature a new arrangement of the Hymn "Great is Thy Faithfulness," the final movement of the "Reformation Symphony" by Mendelssohn and a traditional march "Valders." The entire ensembles will join to conclude the program with a salute to the Armed Forces "The Pride of America!" The program is free, however a freewill offering will be taken to cover expenses of the evening.

The LHSA is in need of host families for a number of international students who would like to attend Lutheran North in the 2018-19 school year. Please consider opening your home to one of these young people; the experience of having a person from another part of the world join your family can be quite rewarding for your family as well as the international student. If this is something you are willing to do, or would like more information about this opportunity, please contact Julie Hoegeman at the LHSA. There is monthly compensation for being a host family.
